"... rainy days and Mondays!!!"

".... walking around, some kind of a lonely clown, rainy days and Mondays always get me down"

I wish I was a fish so I wouldn't worry about getting wet, or busting out my umbrella. Wonder if they get cold too?

"hello winter..."

As I bid farewell to another Summer that blew by faster than expected, today I have embraced Winter the way I wanted it to be. Paula and I went to Snow Summit to start our snowboard season. Conditions were amazingly great considering it was still "off peak". We were zipping through lines, shredding the mountains with no obstacles ahead of us. We're sore... but good sore! Off to more mountains; Big Bear for December... Whistler for January... Mammoth sometime next year. Woot!

"... let's party"

Boracay, Philippines

Good news... I'm coming home for Ricky and Divina's wedding at one of the island beaches of Philippines. Bad news... my wife is not coming with me :(

Ricky and Divina has been one of our good friends both at church and at photography school. They will be tying the knot on January of 2010. I've promised them that I will be there, and my flight is almost finalized to leave and witness their special day!

See you guys soon :)

"... forever young"

Forever Young by Alphaville

Let's dance in style, lets dance for a while
Heaven can wait we're only watching the skies
Hoping for the best but expecting the worst
Are you going to drop the bomb or not?

Let us die young or let us live forever
We don't have the power but we never say never
Sitting in a sandpit, life is a short trip
The music's for the sad men

Can you imagine when this race is won
Turn our golden faces into the sun
Praising our leaders we're getting in tune
The music's played by the madman

Forever young, i want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever, forever forever
Forever young, i want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever
Forever young

Some are like water, some are like the heat
Some are a melody and some are the beat
Sooner or later they all will be gone
Why don't they stay young

It's so hard to get old without a cause
I don't want to perish like a fading horse
Youth is like diamonds in the sun
And diamonds are forever

So many adventures couldn't happen today
So many songs we forgot to play
So many dreams are swinging out of the blue
We let them come true

Forever young, i want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever, forever forever
Forever young, i want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever forever forever
Forever young, i want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever, forever forever
Forever young, i want to be forever

"almost there..."

Paula waiting patiently

My memory has failed me a lot of times, yet I remember clearly what Ms. Agatha forewarned her A180 (Introduction To Professional Photography) students - "Do your laundry, change your car oil, do what you need to do... once this class starts, it's all about A180". She wasn't kidding that's for sure! I remember sitting at the back of the class on day 1 being given the option of signing a binding contract, a contract to be part of her class. I looked around and saw everyone signing their life away, only expression I had was "are you freaking kidding me?!?"... I was tempted to autograph as Jacob Black or Edward Cullen at one point.

I jokingly tell my class and friends that I have filled for temporary separation from my wife since I rarely see her. Photography has consumed most of my life that at times, I have forgotten to cut my hair, or get a clean shave. At times my full time job of being a number cruncher has suffered too.

Well... I am almost there! 2 weeks to go and my life goes back to normal. It will be a sad day come final week of school as I have loved the A180 class so much, I have made amazing friendships, I have been part of a supporting family, and I have been under the wings/supervision of a great mentor.

Would I take A180 again just for fun? You betcha! ... would I recommend this class? For sure! Would I forget A180? It has a special place in my life and heart...
